This is how I haul water out to the shack.
It's a long way, but I didn't take a picture to show you.
I fill the bucket in the basement,
haul it upstairs and outside.
I have to wade through snowdrifts,
wrangle the bucket through the fence,
and then my animals get water.
In these (-18) freezing days,
I have to do this quite often.
Bucket isn't quite full 'cause then it's less ice I have to break in a couple hours.
And this is what I usually find in the morning.
A solid block of poopsicles.
Why he does this I don't know.
His stall is quite large, and this is in the corner.
Still, he finds a way.
And this is what he does behind my back.....
These are the pictures I usually get of him.
I have hundreds of these.
I back up,
he follows.
I walk away, turn around, and there he is.
This is a camera lens fogged up by a curious horses giant nostrils.
These giant nostrils.
This is my drive-way.
It's interesting getting in and out.
Notice the rub marks in the middle from the undercarriage of the vehicle?
And one of my many beautiful trees.
And by then I was a human-cicle,
so I went in.
It is interesting getting in and out of your driveway. One good thing is, it's not a very busy road, so you don't have to worry so much about being hit as you exit it at 60 kph, because you have to, otherwise you are stuck. :P
ReplyDeleteWhat a silly horsie. The water dish is not for pooping in.
Poopsicles are hilarious!! Although, I suppose not so much when you have to thaw them out every day. ;)
ReplyDeleteI went out for pics today, too. I think I might had made it to 5 min... and then I was almost frozen solid.
Horses learn from their owners...although you've never pooped in your tea. :/
ReplyDeleteHe's saying that he wants Cider NOT water.
ReplyDeleteSooooo your horse wants a toilet, is what you are saying? Give him one!
ReplyDeleteKara picked up on Pax's bad habit. At least, that's what I'm going with tonight.
ReplyDeleteI have to clean poopcicles out of her water bucket too. I don't know who started it.
Why on earth would Pax AIM for the water bucket????????????????????????? I don't understand.
ReplyDeleteDumb horsie.
But he's good for laughs. So he is.
He's always done it.
ReplyDeleteAnd Sarah, in the 2 years I have lived here I've had to stop for another vehicle on my road ONCE. And I barely did, 'cause I'm so used to just barreling out. It was the dead stock truck. Now I make sure I look first.
As a fellow Dork, I applaud Pax.
ReplyDeleteStick that tongue out, Baby!
XD
