Pax

It means peace.
And it's the name of my horse.

His "real" registered name is Neet Path.

But that's pretty weird.

He was a racehorse, a pacer.

He started in 107 races,
won 7
came in 2nd in 16,
and 3rd in 12.

He earned $41,303.

If you go to this link, you can see a picture of him in the last race he won.

He was born June 10 2002.

I became his owner Sept. 19 2008.

I love him.

Because he doesn't live with me,
I don't get to spend a lot of time with him.

But every time I do, whether it's riding or mucking out his stall,
it makes me happy.

That's right, shoveling horse poop makes me happy.

Because I know he'll have a nice clean bed.

Spending time with him soothes my soul.

He doesn't really love me all that much.
I'm the one that makes him work.

But someday he will.
I'll be the one to feed him, and bring him treats.

He's a quirky guy, and can be a jerk.

But he is amazing to ride.

Super athletic, and he enjoys being out and about.

He has learned how to be a saddle horse amazingly fast.

And he has the best brakes of any horse I have ridden.

I just sit back a bit, and we slide to a stop.

He thinks he's a Quarter horse.

He lives with Kara, my sisters horse.
She's also a retired racehorse.

Linda cares for both horses, and I am extremely thankful.

This makes me smile.

How about you?

It totally wasn't the same without horses in that pasture. I'm so glad they are there! :D
