Busy

I am going away for a few days, and am rushing around trying to get everything ready.

I am so far behind in Laundry, that it’s scary.

I’m afraid of the laundry room.

Between all the vomit last week, and all the rainy days,
(that pertains because I have no dryer)
the pile if clothes I face resembles Mount Everest.

And even though we had a sunny day today, hanging clothes out on a line to dry takes longer than a dryer.

So it’s slow catching up.

I finally got all my flowerbeds done today.
Planted.

Tomorrow will be weeding the vegetable garden,
and finally building the Chicken Shack.

It’s time to build.

Little chickies are growing fast.

I had them outside this afternoon, and they LOVED it.

I can’t wait till they can be outside all the time.
Although I’ll probably worry, and freak out every night that a skunk is going to get them.

Or a coyote.

There’s lot’s of those around here.

Anyway, that’s my day.

On a sad note,
Little Biddy,
the sick chick,
died.

I’m pretty sure it was aspiration pneumonia,
caused by me force feeding her.

Yep.

Killed her with kindness.

The kids wanted a funeral, so we had one.
We all gathered around, said a prayer, and buried her.
The boys picked out some nice rocks to mark her grave with.
And we were done.

The other sick chick, Louise, is fine and back in with the others.

Well, that’s my news.

  1. See, that's when a laundromat comes in handy. ;) I know you need quarters then, but if you can scrap any up, it's worth it.

    Sorry your chickie died. :(

    How was the ride?

  2. Sorry about your chick. :( Poor little birdie.

I agree with Adeena, laundromats are excellent for that type of situation! You'll be done in a matter of hours, not days. :/

  3. First Jared, then Daniel and Critter. They're going down for the count. So, babysitting your kids is going to be interesting if we're all barfing. And D, J, & E are pressure-washing tomorrow. Tiana is sick, too, but not yet vomiting. Sigh.

  4. Laundry has a way of becoming menacing. You know, you do have sisters close by who could dry your clothes in their dryers so that you don't have to be left with no clothes etc, and a mountain. Just sayin'.
