London for the Day

I left this morning with Mom, Linda, and Dan, to go to London.

Linda and Dan needed to get passports to attend a LAN party,

yes they are geeks,

and they needed me to act as guarantor.

Since I have a passport.
Since I’ve been to Mexico.

But that’s a whole other wonderful subject (blog)

I had to go to London because everyone’s health card had expired.

Along with another very important government issued item,
which I have yet to renew.

All these items?
Expired on my birthday.  Which was a month ago.

So it was a job I needed to get done.

The truth is, I didn’t want to go.

I DID want to help my sibs with getting their passports,
but I did NOT want to spend a day away.

I have waaaaay to much to do here.

But I went.

And we had fun.

I heart my sibs.

Even thought there is 10 and 12 years difference between us, they are my friends.
And they are funny.  And fun.

And my Mom is fun too.

She had a lawyers appt., which I missed because she abandoned me at the health card office, since the wait was about an hour.
But it apparently went well.

We stopped in to see my Great Aunt who lives in London.
I like her too.

She recently broke her arm, which sucks.

I found out she LOVES Chapters, with almost the same passion I do.

And she loves Starbucks.

But she can’t touch that amount of feeling….

We also went to Chapters and Starbucks.

Do you know that when I went to St. Jacobs to pick up my chicks, I went to Kitchener to find a Starbucks?

True story.

The addiction is strong, my friends.

I was dragged out of Chapters because Dan was hungry and grouchy.

He had LBSCBD
Or, for the non-PW readers,
Low Blood Sugar Cranky Butt Disorder.

He’s IS skinny.
And we HADN”T had lunch.

We still didn’t get to eat, real food anyway,

but we did stop and get a few groceries.

And ice-cream may have been purchased, in four 1/2 litre tubs.

And each 1/2 litre may, or may not, have been consumed.

And then a can a Billionaire Sardines.

Weird, I know.

So I’m home, got the kids in bed, and I’m exhausted.

Tomorrow,

Laundry and front flower bed!!!

And a fence around my garden,

which Cyrus keeps trampling.

Oh, when I got home tonight I saw a strange sight.

It was a mutant animal running towards the van.

With a white bum, short tail, and long black neck,
devoid of any head at all.

It was Freddy, and he must have been chasing mice, and got his head stuck in a drainage pipe.

I didn’t get a picture, even though I was laughing sooo hard at him,
because I DID feel sorry for him.

He kept running into things.

I rescued him from his plight, and said, “Ohhh poor Freddy!”
and he immediately ran and got me a rock to throw for him.

He’s awesome.

I just hope he wasn’t stuck too long.

Poor guy.

I do have some pictures.

Yesterday the Farrier came and slapped some shoes on Pax,
haven’t had a chance to try them out though.
But we also moved fence, to let the horses out into the big field, as the grass has finally grown.

And cleaned the barn.
Long day.

Anyway.

Pictures.

I grabbed my camera when we finally let them loose,
I expected running and cavorting, since they’ve been cooped up for a while.

Nope.  They gobbled grass, and rolled.

They waited till I went inside to make supper before they did all the amazing jumping and cavorting.

I did see it, through the window,
but my camera was in the van.

Crap.

They did it on purpose, I know they did.

But, I’ll show the pictures I DID get.

Kara enjoying the grass.  Finally.

Then it was Kara’s turn.

And I apologize.

You may want to avert your eyes.

Pax is sooo embarrassed.
He had to look away.
A true gentleman.
