Check it out!

Know what this is?

This, my friends, is a Chicken Shack.

Still needs windows, and a proper front door, and a few other things.

But it’s functional.

The hens area…

Do you like it, ladies?

They want me to open this.

I also practiced taking some photo’s in manual….

a little fuzzy, but not bad.

These were taken at my Mom’s house, while we waited for this to start:

This is one of the rare times I wish we did have TV.

World Cup Soccer.

We love it, and would probably watch every game.

At least my wonderful Mom let’s us come to her house to watch it.

It was a good game.

I think people expected England to win,

but the US goaltender, and defense, just shut England down.

Add in an error from Green, England’s goaltender,

and you end up with a tied game.

1-1.

There were a couple a very tense moments, very close almost-goals, and very amazing saves.

Exciting!

And that’s it.

  1. Yay for the chicken shack!! :D I heart your ladies. :)

Manual mode is fun, too. I did not watch, but glad you enjoyed it. :)

  3. Your coop is so nice and big. I see a Barred Rock that doesn't look like a lady to me, is it supposed to be? The first batch of chicks our hens hatched are five weeks old now too. I can only imagine the happy noise and chaos when you pick up your new 80 babies today! I totally understand, I would be over the moon too, even if they're for meat!

  4. And good for you shooting in manual. Yes it takes awhile for it to get easy, but you have to start somewhere. :)

  5. In reply, about the Barred Rock... around that age the females tend to still be very much black, but the males develop those thick silver stripes. (even as adults the females are more black and the males more silver) Looks like a boy to me, but I don't suppose you'll know for sure until he crows at you some morning!
