Not Much to Say….

Woke up this morning just before 6 to a massive Thunderstorm.

So impressive, I had to capitalize it.

The booms, the flashes, the downpour..
amazing.

I love storms.

Something about the wildness of it all, I think.

I love to throw open the door, and stand, protected a bit,
but still experiencing it.

If you weren’t sure of my sanity before,
I shudder to think what this confession will do for my ratings.

On to other things.

I am immersed in Charles Dickens lately.

Finished David Copperfield,
which I read once a year
( Betsy Trotwood?  Makes me laugh.  Out loud.  Wish she was a real person, and that I knew her.)

I am presently in the middle of Great Expectations.

Also a good one.

And that’s what we did this rainy afternoon.

We read.

Quin is almost halfway through The Hobbit,
Nate finished the second Magic Treehouse Book,
and Emma finished the first.
And Ava read her picture books, and coloured.

A lazy, rainy day.

It was good.

Now off for some more Great Expectations.

  1. I have to read David Copperfield.

Rainy days 'n' Mondays should be official reading days. Like, nationally. Internationally.

  2. I totally love storms, too. My favourite is to sit on the deck under the gazebo. ;)

Now you've got me wanting to read about Betsy. :)

  4. I read David Copperfield a LONG time ago, so long that I don't even remember what it's about. I should borrow it and read it. :)

Love storms. You had that wonderful storm, Tyler called me from work to make sure the windows were closed(at 6:30... woke up the baby... :P ) and I never got anything, no thunder, no lightning, no rain. Poop.

  5. Thunderstorms are the one thing I'm not afraid of. They are awesome, as long as I'm in some kind of shelter.

    Love lazy, reading days.
