I am.
I don’t know whether it’s still lingering effects of the flu,
or whether it’s stress.
But tired I am.
And stressed.
I have so much to do, and so little time.
I have many big decisions looming.
And there is so much unknown.
But I am not alone.
Matthew 28:20
“Behold, I am with you always. Even to the end of an age.”
God is with me.
And more astonishingly,
He cares for me.
Matthew 6:30
“If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”
I may feel alone.
Feel the pressure, the stress of life.
And what am I to do?
1 Peter 5:7”Cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you.”
Psalm 55:22
“Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”
And God made me a pretty big promise.
Romans 8:28
”And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

And……
Romans 8:32
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?”
And guess what?
God keeps His promises.
2 Corinthians 1:20
“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.”
So, do I have to worry? Be stressed?
No.
And this is my little sermon to myself.
My mantra for the past year has been Romans 8:28.
And Psalms 55:22.
And it seems like they will continue to be so.
You know, I know it’s dumb to get so stressed out!
I’ve got a pretty good life.
I am not raising my children in a war torn country,
I have a house, and food, and healthy children.
God has given me so much!!
And yet isn’t it so easy to fall into the trap of wanting more?
Instead of being happy with what He has provided?
It is for me.
I guess it’s all a matter of perspective.
What’s that song?
”Turn your eyes upon Jesus,”
