Lego

As the name of my blog suggests, my life is full of Lego.

My boys, especially Quin, spend hours a day creating things out of those colourful little blocks.

I guess that’s what happens when you force your children to live deprived of TV, video games, and computer games.

Really, all forms of Media.

We don’t even listen to the radio, as I prefer my playlists;)

Anyway,  I took a picture of one of his creations, and ever after he has brought down everything he has built and left them on my island.

I cook on my island, and I hate clutter.

So finally, being totally exasperated with the invasion of Lego into my sacred cooking area,

I asked him,”Why is your Lego on my island!?!”

He told me it was so I could take pictures of it.

So I did.

Over a period of 4 months I must have taken 60 pictures of different creations.

So today I went hunting for the pictures, thinking to finally do a blog about it,

and I couldn’t find them.

I found a few, but not nearly the amount I had.

Best I can figure, is I made a mistake while transferring pictures from my card to my computer, and basically, I didn’t transfer all the Lego pics.

And then reformatted my cards, erasing everything.

So, no giant post of 60 Lego creations for you.

Sorry to let you down.

Try to contain your disappointment.

I do have a few.

The Fire Truck.

The detail impresses me.

Like levers, and controls.

And a ladder that extends and rotates.

And couplings for the hoses to attach to.

And a fire extinguisher in the seating area.

Next is the Helicopter.

Everything rotates, that should.

And this guy.

Do you know what this is?

A goalie.

Here, I’ll stand him up for you.

He’s posable.

Here’s something.

Can you guess what it is?

It’s a guitar.

Last one.

A plane of some sort.

Even though I have to put up with spare pieces of Lego all over my house, like seriously, everywhere, I guess it’s not a bad hobby.

Maybe he’ll be an Engineer.

Of all the ways he could pass his spare time,

I’m glad that he chooses Lego.

And reading, but that’s a whole other post.

  6. I came across your blog on the sidebar of another and had to visit because of the title. Oh, do we have LEGOs. I have one boy and one MILLION LEGOs. Approximately. I may be off by two or three. And he will build for hours... just like yours. The minds of these boys; I pray that we can direct them into the path that God has planned for them, because they can do great things! I love your boy's creations!
