This morning I slept in.
This is only because Ava slept in, and she is my alarm clock.
As is our custom, we were cuddling in my bed,
when suddenly I heard tractor noises.
Now, this isn’t all that uncommon, as I live surrounded by farmland.
But these tractor noises sounded awfully close.
So I got up and went to the bathroom, which is always the first order of business, and while in there Quin came up to find me and said,
”Poppa’s here, we are on our second load of sod.”
I got dressed, dressed Ava, got her a snack, and went out to see.
Yep. Seems Yogrynch had read my blog, and felt guilty.
He accused me of complaining.
I wasn’t complaining at all, just simply talking about my day, and why I felt I had to finish lifting sod in one day.
I completely understand that he is in the middle of a big project at his own darn house, and my needs are at the bottom of the pile.
But. The power of a blog, I tell you.
Write something here and BAM!
Things get done.
My wonderful Dad had woken up early, and driven the tractor, what, 45 minutes(?) to my house, to do my piddly little jobs quickly, so he could get back to his own work.
And I still have not delivered to him the Tim Horton’s prize he won here.
Now I’m the one that’s guilty.
Anyway.
Now, my garden in done and ready for planting tomorrow. Tilled and fertilized with some good old horse poop.
My Chicken Shack site is level and clear.
I actually got some pictures today.
Not when Yogrunch was actually here, after the fact.
Here they are.
Ahhh, fresh tilled earth.
Ava in front of fresh tilled earth. She’s hot.
She’s almost got it off….
Success with the removal of the sweater.
And, she finds that puddle boots leave footprints in freshly tilled earth.
Making a trail…
A big trail.
Site of the much anticipated Chicken Shack.
A closer view.
The rocks I picked out of the site.
The rest of the pictures are just some things I snapped pictures of, since I was walking around my yard anyway.
Some sort of farm implement I think is cool.
And an Emma with a dirty face.
She loves having her picture taken.
Thank you Dad, for taking the time out of your busy day to come and do my jobs, even though you are swamped with your own work.
I’m very thankful that you did.
Love you.
